The purge valve leaks

Most of the gear in this kit worked great. However what is arguably the most important part of the kit- the snorkel, leaks at the purge valve at the mouth piece. It is not sand or salt build up -it leaked the first use -3-4 breaths and the mouthpiece is full of water. The valve looks malformed the seal plate is not sealing with back pressure when you inhale.
