This is not the best snorkel for snorkeling. However, it is the best snorkel to take with you scuba diving. I purchased this one to replace the same model that was very old. It is better than the other ones because it has a quick release clip so you can remove it from your mask strap and put it in your BCD. Other similar snorkels do not have that ability. Other similar snorkels also come with a large hard plastic case so they do not stay rolled up without it. This one is awesome! I should have bought more than one
Was expecting a little more from it
Got it for scuba diving. Needed something that can be stowed and pulled out for emergencies. Got the job done.
When used for snorkeling, it is not as ideal. Would benefit from a slightly larger purge chamber.
Does what I got it for, except it doesn't clear very well. The purge valve works sometimes. Works better in calm water, doesn't do to well in choppy water.
Ideal for scuba diving off boats, where your snorkel is more of an emergency backup.
Would not recommend if you are using it for a primary (i.e. snorkeling).
Rolls up nicely to fit in my BC pocket. You need to practice snapping it onto your facemask before you need to use it in the water but once you get the hang of it, it works nicely. I wish it had some type of container to keep it rolled up like others I've seen but my BC pocket has a flap to keep it in place so not a problem.
I love this thing. Who needs a snorkel attached you your mask on every dive? Nobody. But it's there if you need it. Cruel it up and the top of the snorkel has two holes that connect to mask attachment.
