Needs drain holes.

Works great for my flashlight. There are no drain holes. Need to pull and retract it a few times to get the water out. I might drill a couple small drain holes to help it drain.

Good but doesn't drain all the water after the dive.

This worked well while diving. I have my flashlight hooked to it. The only issue is after the dive, there is water left in the case. it doesn't drain well. I have to pull the cable all the way out and in several times to get the water out. I have a Gear Keeper clip also and that one has a little drain hole at the bottom. On this one, there is no hole. It's not a big problem. I like the fact that the tension on this retractor is less than the Gear Keeper - that's why I bought this one. So my arm doesn't get tired holding it out.
