I love these gloves!
I bought an XL pair of these gloves for warm water diving in Bermuda. The first time I used these gloves the seam split on the heel of my right glove. I was not straining the gloves putting them on so I view this as normal use. I was still able to use the gloves for four dives but they will probably not last much longer. One problem may be that the gloves appear to be sown neoprene, but not sown and glued.
These are light weight, perfect for the kind of water we scuba in. My husband will love these for his birthday!
I got a chance to use the paddle gloves on my last trip to SoCal & went surfing.I've had a problem paddling my board since getting back to surfing after 42 years. In that time I developed all the usual age-related problems/complaints and it wasn't easy to paddle out & try to raise my head to see as I was doing so.With the paddle gloves,I was able to push against the water, with every stroke, as I paddled out, thus enabling me to raise a little higher off the board. Also, since the strokes with the gloves were more effective.I didn't have to paddle quite so many strokes to catch a wave,so my shoulders weren't as as fatigued so quickly. It would be a good idea,as I found,to do some warm-up excersizes to get the sockets in the shoulders " Lubed Up" ! I'm 63 years old,I learned to surf when I was 14,& surfed until I went into the USAF at 22.It's important to keep your carcass moving, even if it does hurt at times ! Maintain your frienships with your old buddys too ! I was extremely fortunate to have the help of an old surfin' buddy who never stopped,& teaches surfing & skate boarding to tourists in the warmer months ! ( Thanks Bud Paul !) Thanks to an old friend & technology ,such as the paddle gloves, I feel like I've returned to a simpler time & am enjoying myself & the younger folks out in the waves !
