New masks come with a protectant film, often referred to as the “factory seal”. This film will cause fogging even if you use a defogging solution. Toothpaste is a mild abrasive that will help remove the film from the lens and in turn, stop it from fogging. Rub it on the lenses (inside and out) and then rinse with warm water. Repeat process if need be. Your mask should now be fog free.

Instructions on taking a dive with a new mask: Rinse the lenses of the mask with water, then spit on the inside of the lenses, rub it on the lenses then rinse off. You’re now ready to dive and enjoy!

You can also purchase our de-fog solution which comes in a liquid formula, gel type formula, a spray formula.
